LunaScript RT SuperMix is an optimized master mix containing all the necessary components for first strand cDNA synthesis in the context of a two-step RT-qPCR workflow. It features the thermostable Luna Reverse Transcriptase which supports cDNA synthesis at elevated temperatures. Murine RNase Inhibitor is included to protect template RNA from degradation. LunaScript RT SuperMix contains random hexamer and poly-dT primers allowing even coverage across the length of the RNA targets. In addition LunaScript RT SuperMix contains dNTPs and a blue tracking dye providing a visual indicator that can be followed throughout the two-step RT-qPCR process. This product offers robust linear and sensitive detection using total RNA inputs as high as 1 ug and as low as single copies of RNA.

Biotium PMA Enhancer for Gram Negative Bacteria, 5X Solution
PMA Enhancer for Gram Negative Bacteria was designed to improve PMA- and PMAxx™-mediated discrimination between live and dead gram-negative bacteria. PMA Enhancer is provided as a 5X solution, and is added to a sample before the addition of dye. When a sequence from a gram-negative bacteria is amplified by PCR, samples pre-treated with Enhancer show a decrease in the signal from dead cells, with no change in the signal from live cells. Thus, PMA or PMAxx™ plus Enhancer is the optimal way to perform viability PCR on gram-negative bacteria. The mechanism by which Enhancer improves live/dead discrimination has not been determined. It may improve passive permeability of dead cell walls or membranes to the dye, and/or improve access of the dye to the dead cell DNA. The product comes with 16 ml of 5X PMA Enhancer for Gram Negative Bacteria solution.
Biotium PMA Real-Time PCR Bacterial Viability Kit - Listeria monocytogenes (hly) PMAxx™
This PMAxx™-PCR kit is designed for selective detection of viable bacteria from a specific strain using PMAxx™ dye and real-time PCR. This kit provides primers for specific amplification of the Listeria monocytogenes hly gene. The kit has sufficient reagents for treating of 80 bacterial cultures and performing 200 PCR reactions with PMAxx™. PMAxx™ is a new and improved version of PMA designed by Biotium scientists to be a superior alternative to PMA. While PMA is generally effective at differentiating between live and dead bacteria by qPCR, it does not completely eliminate PCR products from dead cell DNA. This could potentially give false positive results. Biotium’s new dye PMAxx™ is much more effective at eliminating PCR amplification of dead cell DNA, and therefore provides the best discrimination between live and dead bacteria. Listeria monocytogenes is a food-borne pathogen that can cause digestive illness and fetal harm.
New England Biolabs, Inc. Bst 2.0 WarmStart DNA Polymerase – 8000 units
Bst 2.0 WarmStart DNA Polymerase is an in silico designed homologue of Bacillus stearothermophilus DNA Polymerase I, Large Fragment (Bst DNA Polymerase, Large Fragment) with a reversibly-bound aptamer, which inhibits polymerase activity at temperatures below 45C. The aptamer rapidly releases the Bst 2.0 WarmStart DNA Polymerase above 45C and therefore no special activation step is needed to activate the polymerase. Bst 2.0 WarmStart DNA Polymerase contains 5' to 3' DNA polymerase activity and strong strand-displacement activity but lacks 5' to 3' exonuclease activity. Bst 2.0 WarmStart DNA Polymerase displays improved amplification speed, yield, salt tolerance, and thermostability compared to wild-type Bst DNA Polymerase, Large Fragment.

Fast-Plus EvaGreen Master Mix is a ready-to-use hot-start mix for nucleic acid quantitation and melt analysis of PCR amplicons. It delivers clean PCR product even with the most challenging samples tested. The mix contains environmentally safe EvaGreen dye and fast-activating chemically-modified hotstart enzyme, Cheetah™ Taq. Although the master mix is formulated for qPCR using a fast cycling protocol, it is also compatible with qPCR using a regular cycling protocol. Low ROX reference dye is included in the mix for well-to-well fluorescence normalization in ABI and other instrument platforms. This product has sufficient reagent for 200 reactions.
